STAINLESS STEEL
Cleaning up with an humid cloth and drying delicately; do not use sprays or washing powder that could damage brightness and varnish.

ALUMINIUM
Light pliable silver metal adopted in the aereonautical industry. It is painted and protected by procedures of anodic oxidation which makes superficial layers resistant without corrosion and scratch.

ABS
It means Acrilonitrile-Butadiene-Stirene. It is used to build, Packages, TV carcase, Toys, etc.

CENTRAL PANEL
Door’s central panel made of veneered particleboard.

MELAMINE PAPER
Paper impregnated of melamine resins in different colours.
It has used to cover the particleboard panels which being definited ennobled melamine panels.

THERMOMELTING GLUE
Adhesive applied in the fused state. They work thanks to their cooling and to the pressure that practices between two elements. They have characteristics of reversibility, if brought back to temperatures approximately from 60° to 100° C, losing temporary they caracteristics.

THERMOSETTING GLUE
Resins that work thanks to the chemical reactions put into action by the warm. The most important one in the furnishing market comes form the formaldheyde and other basic resins combination. It is high temperature-resistent.

FORMALDHEYDE
It has adopted for the main homelting glues productions in the furniture industry in order to produce particleboard. Suspected of being cancerogenous in case of high concentrations it can bring to tears and irritation. Since 1977 the B.G.A. “Ufficio per la salute di Berlino” (Office for the health of Berlin), has fixed the threshold of its limit in the atmosphere. It is  0,1 ppm (parts for million) or 0,2 mg/mc; the products under of such threshold is said E1 class. Many others countries also Italy have adopted such values.

BRIGHTNESS

It is identified by the gloss value:

- mat: till to 10 gloss
- semimat:          from 11 to 35 gloss
- semiglossy:

from 36 to 60 gloss

- glossy:                from 61 to 80 gloss
- high glossy:  over 80 gloss

WATERPROOF
In the furniture industry the particleboard panels, MDF and Multilayer ones, that resist for a sure period to the swelling provocate from the water, are said Woterproof. Such resistance is not absolute and exists a scale of values that goes from the V20 (insufficient resistance) to the V100 that guarantees the maximum resistance to the humidity.

LAMINATED
Its commercial name is "formica". It has made of phenolical and melamine resins pasted in order to create a paper of 0,6 mm thick. It has adopted to cover woody panels (laminated panels).

POSTFORMING LAMINATED
Laminated side applicated on an irregular surface.

LAMINATED HPL
HPL means High Pressure Laminates;they are definited EN 438/1 and have a strong resistance to scratches, to wear, to blows, to chemical agents and fire. They are specially adopted for worktops.

MDF PANELS
MDF means Medium Density Fibers. It’s interesting from the ecological point of view. Much of their production does not imply the systematic destruction of trees.
It’s fondamental for the Laquered, Ennobled and PVC panels but they are heavy and having a low humidity resistence.

ENNOBLED MELAMINE PANEL
Particlesboard panel covered by melamine resins paper.

PARTICLEBOARD PANELS
Wood particle panel from working wood’s refuse. It is composed from flakes and particles of wood pressed and pasted with hotmelting adhesives. It has a low humidity resistance but the materials that cover it give it a high resistance.

MULTILAYER PANEL
It has said Multilayer when five or more layers of wood are disposed with crossed and fixed fibers with resistant adhesives to the water and the humidity.

VENEREED
It has also said "tranciato" . It is a thin sheet of wood (approximately 0,6 milimeter) obtained by cutting log. It has adopted to cover woody panels (MDF, particlesboard, solid wood, etc.) better known as venereed.

LAQUER
Covered by raw panel with different stuff like Laminated and PVC.

PVC
The polyvynil chloride is one of the plastic materials more used in the furniture industry. It covers doors and structural elements. It has consedered toxic but during its productions and making only. It can be painted like wood gain. It has a low warmth resistence, warping between 75° and 95° C.

SERIGRAPHY
It’s a particular way of press,

FRAME
Rectangular structure, made by joining four or more wood board. The vertical element is named “Montante”  and the horizontal one is namend “Traverse”.

ACRYLIC LAQUER
High resistent varnish. It has adopted for the light wood specially. It give a natuarl effect to wood.

POLYSTER LAQUER
It has adopted to obtain dipeer varnish. It is stronger than other acrylic varnish, it has usually adopted for wortops and usurable elements. It can be glossy.

WATER LAQUER
It is still experimented.

TEMPERED GLASS
It has got special resistance characteristics to blows.

ZAMA
It is made with zinc, pure aluminium and mangnesium. It has adopted specially for the hobs and handles production.
